Board of Trustees

Open Board Position:

The Board of Trustees is now accepting applications from citizens of the Indian River School District interested in serving on the Board of the Frankford Public Library. This is an appointment to fulfill a term of a former board member whose term has expired and is calling for At-Large members. The Board oversees the Library as representatives of the community. They determine and adopt progressive policies governing the operation of the Library. They develop and oversee the operating budget and actively support local, state, and federal library legislation, advocacy, and funding. This position is a three-year term. The Board meets at least 10 times a year with an agenda posted seven days in advance of the meetings. Board meetings are open to the public. The appointment will be made by the Resident Judge of Superior Court of Sussex County pending a successful interview with the current Board of Trustees. Any interested candidate can stop at the Frankford Public Library to pick up an application form.
