Ways to Volunteer

Programs and Activities
Help support library programs and events by setting up spaces, organizing materials, welcoming participants, and assisting staff throughout activities.

Fundraising and Community Support
Assist with fundraising events and outreach efforts that help strengthen the library’s ability to provide programs and services.

Library Support
Work alongside staff to keep the library organized and inviting. Tasks may include shelf reading, straightening materials, and helping maintain displays.

Library Grounds
Help care for the outdoor spaces by assisting with light cleanup, watering plants, and general upkeep to keep the library welcoming inside and out.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities
Young volunteers can support programs, help maintain library spaces, or assist with garden and outdoor tasks using hand tools under staff supervision.


What We Ask of Our Volunteers

Volunteering is a commitment of time and effort. Volunteers are expected to:

  • Be reliable and communicate availability
  • Follow library policies and staff guidance
  • Treat all patrons and staff with respect
  • Carry out responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner

Applications are available at the library or can be downloaded below:

Completed applications can be emailed to frankfordlibrary@gmail.com or returned in person to the library. Once your application is received, staff will follow up with next steps.
